How to Insure

No intermediaries

When you insure with Four Star, you deal directly with the our offices. You have direct access to Four Star through telephone, facsimile or personal contact with your Four Star representative.

Claims

Four Star streamlined system cuts through delays to provide you with fair, fast and efficient claims service. Our systems run parallel. Each party will know what the other is doing for mutual benefit. Should loss or damage occur, you have a direct line to Four Star via phone, fax or the web to reduce turnaround time. The turnaround time on claim settlements is less than thirty days with submittal of proper documentation.

Claim Procedures

Four Star claim service is fair, fast, and efficient. Claims supported by proper documentation will be settled within thirty (30) days. Should loss or damage occur, promptly notify Four Star for assistance. We will immediately appoint a surveyor to personally inspect the cargo.

In the event of loss, please provide Four Star with the following information:
  • Your letter of claim
  • Copy of invoice(s) in question with the actual item(s) damaged and/or short delivered.
  • Copy(s) of the carrier's delivery receipt(s).
  • Original independent survey.
  • Copy(s) of discrepancy certificates and out-turn reports.
  • Condemnation certificate (if applicable).
  • Photograph(s) showing damages.
  • Any relevant additional information.
